Woof, where to start. It has been more than a month since the Indonesia Mission aboard the OceanXplorer and what a fever dream of an experience. I’ll be sharing more of the research and experiences in greater detail as a pause from the typical fish comics. However, for now, here is my attempt to condense all my emotions and musings into a single illustration.

Back to regular programming after more than half a year 😅 I don’t even know what to say anymore 🥲😮‍💨 Many thanks to the suggestion to cover this field/ career path and to @underwaterindianajones a real marine archaeologist, for introducing me to this field! What other fields in marine conservation should I cover (in a year 😅🤣)?

On November 12, I arrived in Dubai 🇦🇪 and headed to Abu Dhabi to board the OceanXplorer. After almost a month of #boatlife, I can say 10/10 would do it all over again!

Something a little bit different for today: I’m sharing a bit about my first scientific conference experience more than 10 years ago. I’m still nervous to attend them but I’m now kinder and gentler to myself and my own expectations. How was your conference experience? Any coming up?
